Discovery raid for beginner to intermediate level pilots on an all-inclusive basis and roaming in the beautiful Lac Taureau region. The distance traveled is 450 km for the duration of the stay, equivalent to around 4 hours of off-road motorcycles per day on federated trails and different types of terrain. Learn about endurocross, enduro and discover the most beautiful “spots” (places) in the region.
3 p.m. – international arrival
When you arrive on Canadian soil, our team will welcome you at Pierre-Élliott Trudeau Airport. Once the group is together, head to Saint-Michel-des-Saints by minibus (duration 2h45) for a first night in the base camp.
Departure around 9 am, after a hearty Quebec-style breakfast that will allow you to appreciate the scale of what surrounds you. Your mounts will be waiting for you outside the inn, ready for adventure! On the program, a first day of discovery up to the Lac Taureau dam where you will discover a multitude of beaches and breathtaking nooks and crannies. After an introduction to “wild nature”, what could be more logical than a night in the very warm Amisk Aventure refuges? You will enjoy an evening around a campfire or with your feet in the water on the shores of Lac Taureau.
After recharging your batteries with the lumberjack’s breakfast, depart from the Amisk huts to explore the region. On the day’s program: secret trails that will take you to discover the many lakes, rivers and beaver dams that sculpt this natural paradise. To end this beautiful day, you will spend the night in the magnificent Auberge de la Pourvoirie du Pignon Rouge Mocokan.
You will wake up to the songs of loons and other songbirds, in this authentic Auberge where a warm and family atmosphere reigns. It’s a start for a morning enduro that promises to be with the Auberge du Lac Taureau in sight for a relaxing afternoon. According to your wishes, you will be able to practice all kinds of aquatic activities (swimming, pontoon, jetski, paddle board, rental at an additional cost).
Head north for this 5th day, towards the Atikamekw village of Manawan, one of the 31 Indian reserves in Quebec. The journey will be at the pace that suits you, using a vast network of tracks and paths suitable for motor vehicles and easily passable. Rest on site the same evening in the beautiful Auberge Manawan.
Return to base camp by taking these winding paths one last time and enjoying the magic of the place before the return to civilization in the beautiful city of Montreal scheduled for the next morning. You will have the opportunity to visit and enjoy the last moments in the heart of nature in this beautiful log cabin on the shores of the majestic Lac Taureau. A last sunset on the fine white sand beach accompanied by a good evening meal in a friendly atmosphere.
Return in the morning to the city of Montreal where many city activities await you at any opportunity, without forgetting to take a break in one of the many restaurants in the city, there will be something for everyone. Poutine, smokemeat, and other specialties are offered in a host of restaurants, each one the nicest than the next in the beautiful French-speaking metropolis! At your own pace and according to your preferences, you can reach the airport either by taxi ($ 40 approx) or by bus (# 747) from the Société des transports de la Ville de Montréal at an approximate cost of $ 10).
